The Nashville Tree Conservation Corps is excited to welcome Emily Thompson as our new Executive Assistant. A longtime Nashville resident, former local business owner and active community volunteer, Emily brings a passion for trees, as well as her considerable communication and management skills, to this new role with the Tree Corps.

“I believe trees improve our quality of life in so many ways,” Emily says, explaining her interest in furthering the work of NTCC. “It’s important for us as a community to add to our existing tree canopy and protect the mature trees that make our city a beautiful place to live and visit.”

Emily comes to NTCC from All Seasons Gardening and Brewing Supply Company, where she was an owner and founding member. She was involved in daily operations from 1998 until its closing in July 2020. She was responsible for purchasing and display, advertising, customer relations and vendor communications, staff management and administrative duties. She has been a guest speaker at The Nashville Lawn and Garden Show and various garden clubs.

In August 2020, Emily eagerly accepted an invitation to serve on the NTCC board of directors and was charged with expanding its merchandise offerings. As Executive Assistant, she will transition to an advisory role with the board. In addition to sourcing and managing merchandise, she will take on administrative duties related to the Corps’ Tree Sale and other projects, build relationships with community partners and work to accomplish our mission: To Promote, Preserve, Protect and Plant Nashville’s tree canopy.
